About the ninja blog  launch:

FREE "NINJA TRAINING VIDEO BLOG"
FOR ASPIRING NINJAs

Santa Cruz, CA (November 17, 2009) – In recent years, movies like “Ninja Assassin” with Sung Kan and Rain have sparked hundreds of people to start learning the once secret art of the Ninja, also known as “ninjutsu.”  From people who have never studied any form of self defense, to those who have worked hard on a lifelong pursuit of other martial arts such as Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, MMA, and Karate, they are discovering that they can take up serious ninja study from a small number of masters teaching around the world.  Released from generations of secrecy by Ninja Grand Master Masaaki Hatsumi in Japan, real ninja training is now available to almost anyone.

Beginning November 2009 www.ninja-learning-network.com will start posting high quality, free, video lessons in a weekly blog that focuses on the basics of ninja study.  Designed for beginning and novice students, the new “Ninja Training Video Blog”  will transmit the wisdom of Grand Master Hatsumi through the video teachings of some of his students who formed the web resource earlier this year.  Shihan Mark Roemke, a 10th Dan master and 16 year practitioner of Hatsumi's Bujinkan school, leads the effort with his personal mission to educate people about how Ninja training can be a path toward enlightenment, self improvement and self defense safety.  Founder of the 10 year old Santa Cruz Bujinkan Dojo in California, Roemke directs and instructs the weekly video blog which will cover technique, weapons, gear, history, conditioning, events, everyday self defense concepts and general advice.

The site www.ninja-learning-network.com went live this summer and it serves as a growing hub for free instructional material, information about global resources, ways to connect with other ninjas and much more. Roemke explains that, “You really can be a ninja and it's getting easier with the internet.  It's only now that technology will let us share ninjutsu instruction with the whole world, although we only recommend active training under the supervision of a sensei. But we already have student fans from Brazil, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Argentina, Netherlands, Australia, many other countries including even Japan who appreciate our educational resource and are really getting into Bujinkan. We want everyone to know how to protect themselves and gain enlightenment through daily practice and our resource helps people do that.”

The Ninja Learning Network already provides standard types of in-depth educational videos through their site that share the formal aspects of study appreciated by serious students.  Roemke secured sponsors for Ninja Learning Network that help him provide in-depth instructional material through downloads and DVDs very cheaply or free. The Network also posts excerpted review clips of those lessons free on their YouTube Channel, “Ninja Learning Network” to help beginning and/or economically challenged students start training effectively. Ninja Learning Network also gathered affiliated sponsors among companies that agreed to help provide high quality and affordable gear, books, training weapons and more.  “We want to present high quality information and resources that help students achieve a sound base from which to grow into highly accomplished Ninjas. They can theoretically learn a whole curriculum from our “Basics of Ninja Training” videos - although training should always include direct mentorship from a teacher.  The better you are at achieving honed skills grounded in the basics, the more effective your "street fighting self defense" performance will be anyway. That's why our subject matter focuses on the forms and techniques we learn directly from the Bujinkan's grand master Soke Hatsumi when we train with him in Japan," says Roemke.

After the Ninja blog launch all “Ninja Training Video Blog” entries will be archived and accessible to the global public with no strings attached at www.ninja-learning-network.com.
